  1. Oh, these are so good! I used the basil, because we love it, and served these on toasted onion rolls. They are full of flavor, very delicious! Thanks for a great recipe, najwa!!

  2. A wonderful burger najwa!! My husband and I loved the combination of herbs and spices. We love olives and feta cheese too so this was perfect for us. I served on grilled onion rolls. Thanks for this one.

  3. Very good, great for a nice, healthy lunch.

  4. Mmmm! We made these last night and they were great! Instead of onion powder we used finely chopped onion which added a bit of fresh flavor along with the fresh parsley we used instead of parsley flakes. Also, since it was rainy, we pan-fried rather than grilled. They were wonderful! I would have maybe added even a bit more feta if I had more, but then again I'm a real cheese fan. We ate them on whole-wheat buns brushed with olive oil and toasted in the oven. They go very well with dijon mustard I found and are quite easy. mmmm....

  5. Amazing burgers! Loved the flavor from the herbs and the feta and olives. Served it with spinach, tomato and cucumber in a brioche bun. Super tasty!

Tweaks

  1. I subbed the turkey with chickpeas for a veggie burger. They didn't stick together at all, making for a sloppy meal, but were pretty good -- a very unique veggie burger. I look forward to trying this in a veggie pita wrap, too.

  2. Sooooo good!! I used ground chicken instead of turkey (personal preference). Served with a light lemon-garlic mayo, thinly sliced red onion and tomato on a fresh kaiser bun. These were so flavorful! Next time I will try on a pita with tzatziki sauce. Love, love love this recipe!

  3. Man, these are good!! No wonder they are rated so high. I did not have any feta and used swiss cheese instead. They still tasted delicious. Next time I will try the feta so they will authentic. Reminds me of having a gyro on a bun. Mmmm!

  4. I decided to "try something new" and this was a wise choice! Instead of turkey, though, I used ground chicken. This was absolutely delicious and a recipe I'll use many times over...Next time I'm going to use 1/4 C. chopped kalamata olives and 1/4 C. chopped green olives, but keep everything else the same...I don't want to mess with an already good recipe!

  5. Yum, Yum, Yum. My DH is very into turkey burgers, so I'm trying to find variations to make a normally bland choice of ground meat stand out. I used 3oz pre-crumbled feta and about 1/4 cup chopped kalamata olives and next time I might add more of the olives. I used the Pasta Sprinkle herb mix from Penzeys instead of parsley and basil and subbed in garlic salt for the onion, garlic and pepper. Yum, Yum! Served on toasted wheat buns with broccoli salad on the side...Will definitely use again!

Hi .. The pic is of my beautiful son, born on 2/5/2005. His name is Tariq, meaning Bright Star. As I type this, he is blowing bubbles in his water cup and watching cartoons. He whined to get this water for 15 mins and now he won't drink it, he will only play with it. Sigh.. A few days ago he came up with this song, so sing along to the tune of "Old McDonald" : Old McTariq Laq Laq Laq E I E I OOOOOO LOL I thought it was the cutest thing :-) When I'm not running around after my son, or cleaning up the mess he makes wherever he goes, I cook and bake (my husband loves the blueberry muffins I make) and I love trying new recipes .. I also love to read, and collect sci-fi/fantasy novels .. I have over 500 books and still counting ..
