  1. This is great!! With red sauce and enchilada sauce going through the roof in price, this is a great recipe, if I don't have paste I use tomato sauce and cut the water 1/4 cup.

  2. P.S. For those that think the sauce is too thin...it will cook up. Do not add the cornstarch or your enchiladas will be dryer. This is yummy just as it is!

  3. This was ok. It’s just not enchilada sauce! I tried it to see how it would turn our but won’t be making again.

  4. i am an extreme couponer, and have like 30 packets of taco seasoning mix that i got for 25cents each, and i also love chicken enchiladas, but hate canned enchilada sauce because it tastes metallic. . . so just out of curiosity, i googled taco seasoning mix and enchilada sauce, and i ended up here. i'm glad!!! at first, it seemed like it didnt have the right flavor i was aiming for, so i added chili powder to it until it got the right flavor, but this recipe is a great starting point, and im super grateful to have found it........... i wont ever buy canned again, and am glad to have a use for this taco seasoning mix, i never wouldve been able to eat that many tacos, but i use a ton of enchilada sauce, for enchiladas (of course), but also for refried beans (pintos n' cheese). thank you for the recipe!!!

  5. Have tried this several times so has become my go-to. I make my own taco dry mix and use that for this recipe as well as my taco meat recipe. Double duty recipes works for me!
