Round Steak on Foil

  • 1 (1 1/2 lb) round steaks
  • 1 (8 ounce) package beefy onion soup mix or (8 ounce) package savory herb with garlic soup mix

directions

  • Place 1/2 package soup mix on foil. Place round steak on top of this.
  • Sprinkle rest of soup mix on top of round steak.
  • Seal foil completely over round steak, all around the edges too.
  • Bake in 350 degree oven for 2 hours.
  • Add mushrooms over top when serving if desired.

  1. how thick should the round steak be? I tried this once with a 3/4 inch round steak and it was burned to a crisp. Also, if it is only 1 lb should it be less cooking time?I seem to remember years ago cooking this at a much lower temperature. Lots of questios.
