- 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shells
- 1⁄2 cup maple sugar
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1⁄3 cup heavy cream (whipping)
directions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Combine sugars & flour. Spread the sugar mixture evenly over the pie shell.
- Pour the cream over the sugar and place in the oven. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden.
- Serve the pie warm from the oven.

Thank you so much for posting this recipe; it was delicious! I've been looking for this style of tarte au sucre recipe for years. It reminds me of one I had on Ile d'Orleans ages ago that I never forgot. It was super easy to make, too. I used a 9 inch tart pan and a press-in-pan crust. It was so much better than the thick, gloopy style recipes that seem to be the norm.
