  • Place chop in a slow cooker; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Add onions, green pepper and tomatoes. Combine ketchup, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and bouillon; pour over vegetables.
  • Cover and cook on LOW 5-6 hours.
  • Mix cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on high for 20 minute or until thickened.
  • Serve over rice.

  1. My family enjoyed this very much.I used six large chops I made two layers. For my notes I used One jumbo pepper and one med pepper I lg chopped and doubled all the ingredients. I also added sliced potatoes unpeeled between the layers and on top layer.It still made lots of juice to be served over rice. A keeper in my house. Thanks for posting.
     
  2. Love this recipe! I have not only made this with the pork chops, chicken, shrimp instead of the pork chops. This is a meal that my family really enjoys. It reheats easily also. For the reheating with the shrimp in it remove all the shrimp heat the vegies then add the shrimp for only a few minutes just long enough to warm them you want to be careful not to overheat as it will make the shrimp tough. Enjoy other versions.

  4. Excellent recipe! Thanks for putting "crock pot" in the title. I need more recipes like this one. It's the same as another recipe I have except that mine calls for two ribs of celery that I think are necessary. :)
     
  5. This is indeed a wonderful recipe. I did use a hot banana pepper instead of the green pepper, because we like a little heat in our recipes. A great recipe and served over rice, it pretty much makes a complete meal. Just throw in a crusty bread and side salad, and you have dinner.
