ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1⁄4 cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
directions
- Combine all ingredients in small bowl.
- Cover and allow to sit at room temperature for 6-8 hours.
- Refrigerate.
- Use when thickened.

OUTSTNDING, & sooo easy! Used it, also, on some fresh strawberries that I had, & it tasted great! Would think it would go well, also, over the strawberries in a shortcake instead of whipped cream! I left my bowl on the counter from midnight to about 7:30 the next morning and than refrigerated. A very nice creamy sour cream type flavor without the extra "bite" that sour cream has. This did thicken but I did have more of a pourable consistency. I am very happy with the results and tasted so good with fresh strawberries. I used KC_Cooker's Recipe #124413 for this recipe.
