  1. We make this all the time!!! So yummy. I also add some diced up onions & red pepper in the bottom of the muffin tin before i break the egg on top. then when it's about 5 minutes before it's done, i add a tsp of water to the top to help cook the top. I also love to add sliced cheddar on top. This is a family favorite-perfect for company!

  2. We enjoyed these on english muffins, with bloody marys for our New Year's brunch. These are really wonderful, and you could fry the bacon in advance (not too crispy or they'll break), refrigerate overnight, and be ready to make these first thing in the morning without having to wait for the bacon to fry. Watch the eggs carefully, though. Mine weren't set at 10 minutes, and when I checked them 5 minutes later, they were a little too done for our preferences, but we still loved the flavor and presentation of this. Excellent recipe that we'll make again - thanks, bert!

  3. I tried this for our Sunday morning breakfast. My husband loved them, he loves cheese so I melted some on top when they were done. I am not an egg person, but it was very good to me too. Thanks for the post! Next time I'm trying them on an English Muffin.

  4. I used a circular turkey slice to bottom these, rounded with bacon, dropped the egg(didn't mix it), topped with sharp cheddar, pepper flakes, cayenne, and using a mayo/mustard dip... Deviled Bacon Rings?

  5. I had been tooling around the site today when I came across this recipe. And well, when I get a craving, I MUST satisfy it. This was excellent! I took the advice from um-um-good and used the additions of onion and cheese. My daughter and I enjoyed this as a night snack. Now we want more!! Thank you so much!

I love to cook and so I am thrilled that I found recipezaar. I work as an educational assistant in a food school so I am around food all day long. I have four children, three of which have already flown the coop so to speak but I still have my 'baby' at home. (He's 21). I am lucky in that I have my summers off so I spend a lot of time trying new recipes and catching up on my reading. I also play soccer in a ladies league to stay in shape.
