directions

  • Mix flour and baking soda. Combine all dry ingredients and blend thoroughly.
  • Add butter, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Mix until completely blended. You may need to finish mixing with your hands.
  • Shape into walnut sized balls. The dough is very sticky. Cookie scoops work best if you have one. Place two inches apart on sprayed baking sheets.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Watch closely, mine never seem to need to cook the whole fifteen minutes.
  • Cook 5 minutes on baking sheet. Move to cooking racks to finish cooling.

  1. I was looking for a new chocolate chip cookie recipe and gave these ones a try. I used the cookie recipe with one cup of chocolate chips and they were delicious!!!!! All of my friends absolutely loved them. They had a perfect crisp outside with a thick cookie inside! Perfect in every way! Thanks for the recipe!

I am a graphic design student from Iowa! I am now a stay at home Mommy to my beautiful daughter, Claire! For fun I like to cook, bake, scrapbook, spend time with my fiance, get crafty, try new things and my favorite, shop! My favorite cookbook I've come along so far is my mom's old church cookbook, although I must admit I am quite the sucker for the Taste of Home magazines at the grocery store. They are my weakness! I love the pretty covers and they always come with such great recipe cards and tips! Some day I will collect them all, hehe. My passions are fashion, photography, art, style, shoes, handbags, cooking, baking, scrapbooking, crafts, and being creative! <a href="http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj176/alleyolds/?action=view&current=PACSpring09Iwasadopted.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj176/alleyolds/PACSpring09Iwasadopted.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj176/alleyolds/?action=view&current=PACSpring09Participation.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj176/alleyolds/PACSpring09Participation.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/adoptedspring08.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <a href="http://s729.photobucket.com/albums/ww296/alleybarbie/?action=view&current=Calendargirls2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i729.photobucket.com/albums/ww296/alleybarbie/Calendargirls2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
