- 1 1⁄2 cups 1% low-fat milk
- 1⁄4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon low-sodium chicken bouillon cube
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
directions
- Gradually whisk milk into flour until smooth; cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, 3 to 5 minutes or until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Whisk in soup base and pepper.

Very good. I did use 2% milk as that is all I had and the pan dripping from my fried venison which added a lot of flavor to the gravy, but even without that, this gravy is delicious and so simple to make. I had to add just a little more milk to mine as it was a little thick. This thickens up very quickly. Thanks Ms Sally Made for I Recommend

This was really easy to make, and I enjoyed it over your Recipe #291328. I made it with regular chicken bouillon cubes, and can't stress enough how important it is to use the low sodium.....mine was very salty! My fault since I didn't use the correct bouillon cubes. This thickens up really quickly and looks great. Thanks for sharing!

I used this with your "Recipe #291328" and it turned out well. I kept the remants of "frying" the steaks in the skillet and made the gravy using those bits and pieces to add a bit more flavor. Used homemade chicken stock instead of a bouillon cube and just reduced the milk by a 1/2 c to make up for the liquid of the stock. Great recipe and I can see using it with breaded chicken too. I can't thank each of you personally although I try. <br /><br />I Live in central Virginia, 5 miles from where I grew up, w/ my Husband of 17 years and my beautiful daughter. She is 10 and is the joy of my life. We waited for a long time to be blessed with a child and it is the best thing I've ever done. Be a mother. <br /><br />I love to cook. We eat very healthy, after a life altering experience at 31 I've been on a journey to be healthy and lose weight. I've lost 50 lbs and have kept most all of it off for the last 9 years. There are always fluxs, durring stressful times, but I've mananged to keep most of the weight off. My best advice to anyone trying to lose weight is to remember that it didn't get there overnight and it won't come off overnight. I've never said I was on a diet. It is a lifestyle.</p>
<p>When Zaar first changed to Food I took a short hiatus. I was going thru a very hard time in life and was completely unmotivated to do anything and thus gave up my hosting duties on Holiday Tag. But now with a new perspective I'm hoping to get back to cooking and tagging.</p>
