  • In a medium bowl, combine all the ingredients for the marinade. Add the thinly sliced meat and marinate for at least 1 hour.
  • Remove meat from marinade and dredge meat slices in flour, then in eggs and then fry in hot oil until browned on both sides.
  • You may need to add more oil as you need. Drain juhn on paper towel, slice into serving pieces and serve.
  • This is can also be made with fleshy, white fish pieces.
  • *NOTE: More oil may be needed for frying.

  1. Yum! I'm 1/2 Korean and I've only had Meat Juhn with white fish made by my wonderful grandmother. I was so excited to make this since my husband (who's Chamorro!) said he wanted to go get some sometime. I'm so happy I found your recipe. It's absolutely delicious! I used 1 tsp of sugar instead of 1/2 tsp though. Didn't make it sweet at all. Just right! I can't wait to try your other recipes!

  2. For sure this will be repeated at our house. Made a third of the recipe and it was plenty for three people. Thank you for sharing.
