Buttery Sweet Toasted Pecans

ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 cups pecan halves
- 2 teaspoons cajun seasoning
- 3 teaspoons sugar
directions
- Melt butter in frying pan over medium heat.
- Stir pecans in butter for 1 minute.
- Sprinkle Cajun seasoning and sugar over nuts and cook, stirring constantly, until sugar has melted and nuts are glazed, about 2 minutes.
- Pour pecans onto a plate and cool slightly.
- Taste and season with salt, if needed.

Absolutely perfect! I was looking for a candied pecan that wasn't so candiesh This fit the bill. I used the pecans to top a pear and blue cheese salad. Wow! The pecans truly lifted the salad up. I didn't use the cayenne pepper. I didn't have any. For this salad, I believe the omission didn't make a difference. One thing I can add is lower the heat to medium low or low after adding the sugar of which I used raw brown. Thanks for sharing! A keeper for sure!!

I am originally from the Philadelphia area of the United States but have been living in London, UK since 1996. I now have dual American and British citizenship. I became a widow at the age of 27 in 2004 but have managed to fall in love again and was married again on July 19, 2008.

If I make one of your vegetarian recipes and I managed to take a good photo of it, chances are I will blog about it and tell everybody how much I enjoyed it.
