  1. I tried this out & it really work well. So, now it's my regular fabric softener. Thanx for posting.

  2. Works great and doesn't smell like vinegar when the clothes come out! I am bothered by how strongly scented fabric softeners are yet I don't like unscented ones so this also resolves that problem for me. Thanks for posting this great idea. Everything has gotten so expensive these days, it's nice to be able to stretch my dollars.

  3. Great idea, thanks so much for sharing. Super easy to do and does not smell like vinegar at all. Clothes are coming out smelling and looking great. Will definitely use this all the time. Thanks for saving me some $$$

  4. My bottle of fabric softener was 2/3 gone so I just added 2 cups of water and 2 cups of white vinegar. I gave it a smell and suprisingly, there was no trace of vinegar smell. I ran some towels through the wash and they came out very soft and felt very clean without the residue feel you can sometimes feel when using too much softener. Thanks for the break to my pocket! Made for the best of 2009 game.

  5. This recipe is a great budget stretcher. Don't worry that your clothes will smell like vinegar, it totally rinses out. I took an empty bottle of fabric softener and used it to hold a double batch. I have used this for at least a month now and will continue to do so. Thx Dory Jean!
