ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons greated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
directions
- Melt butter in a medium sauce pan on medium heat.
- Add rice, cook and stir three minutes.
- Stir in chicken broth,garlic powder,parsley flakes and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, reduce to low,cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice in tender.
- Stir in parmesan cheese and sliced almonds.

I did make a couple of slight changes here, in that I used brown rice & I toasted the almonds! Other than that, though, I stuck with the recipe as given & must say, THIS RICE PILAF IS GREAT any way you look at it ~ easy to prepare & satisfying! Think I'll keep this one onhand ~ Thanks for sharing it! [Tagged, made & reviewed in New Kids on the Block tag]
