Bunko Dip (Sage Sausage & Cream Cheese)

"We make this popular warm dip a lot. It is always a hit and only takes 20 or so minutes to make. I like using Frito Scoops with this dip...but any sturdy chip will do."

  1. Somebody else brought this to a pot-luck function and I loved it. When she told me what the ingredient list was I couldn't believe it was so simple (didn't add the garlic powder). Great flavor, and something different from the normal variety (or lack thereof) of chip dip!

  2. Everyone loves this dip! My family expects me to make it for every family gathering. I usually double the recipe and substitute light cream cheese and add 2% Velveeta cheese (about 1 cup cubed) just to make it cheesier. The bowl is always empty! I never thought of adding garlic but will try it next time.

  3. Delicious! And quick and simple to prepare. I love the sage sausage, and it worked quite well here. Nice little zip, and the garlic was a great touch. Thanks for sharing! ~PAC Spring '10~

I like to cook. I especially like to grill, BBQ, and smoke meats. We are a 3 grill family - we have a gas grill (to keep things warm and make frozen hamburger patties, hot dogs, and the like), a Brinkman grill/smoker combo - serial number 1146 - weighs a ton too, and a Masterbuilt 40-inch electric smoker. I have an emergency back-up Brinkman electric smoker as well.
