  • Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl, then cut in the butter with a knife until the mixture resembles bread crumbs. Pour in the milk and stir to make a soft dough.
  • Knead on a floured surface board for about 5 minutes, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Break the dough into lemon-sized pieces, roll these into balls and flatten to a thickness of 1/2 inch. Fry these in hot oil until they are golden.
