Spicy Friendship Tea Mix

"Great tea for a cold winter night. Nice smelling. Very good for giving as gifts. I give it to family every year. I'm not 100% sure in prep time but its not long. Also I used a food processor and it mixed it very well. When serving you may need to add water if you don't like strong drinks."

  1. Thank you for posting this great recipe! I substituted decaf instant tea for the regular tea and splenda for the sugar and it is wonderful. Making another batch to send in care packages for my college kiddos!

  2. This recipe has been a great success. We gave it for gifts over the holidays and have heard nothing but wonderful things. We used apricot jello in our original batches, but were unable to find it later and used peach and the recipe was still a hit. Sharing this one and keeping it because the requests keep on coming!

  3. This was so yummy to make. I like the apricot Jello in this friendship tea mix. I did add some allspice as well as the cinnamon, and clove. I think I added around 1/2 tsp of the allspice. I also doubled the instant tea b/c I wanted a more tea like flavor. <br/>Well done on the recipe Melody!

  4. Very soothing tea. I felt it needed to be more "tea like", so I added another 1/2 cup of the instant tea. I have packaged this mixture up in plastic bags tied with ribbon to sell at our "old folks home" bazar this month. Dec. 08, I forgot to tell you, this stuff went like hotcakes. They kept coming back for more, so made it again this year. Looks like this is going to be an annual thing to have at the bazzar.

  5. This is a GREAT wintertime beverage! I made a batch and gave in jars as part of a gift basket with banana blueberry muffins. Everyone loved it and has asked for the recipe!
