- 2 pie crusts, 9-inch
- 3 cups bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1⁄4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 9 whole eggs
- 1 1⁄2 cups buttermilk
- 1⁄8 cup vanilla
directions
- In a double boiler, melt chocolate. Add dry ingredients. Add eggs, one at a time, until smooth. Add buttermilk and vanilla to complete. Pour over raw pie crust. Bake in preheated 300 degree oven for 40-45 minutes, until custard-like. Cool and top with cool whip to serve.
