Traditional Shepherd's Pie

"British comfort food! This recipe requires ground lamb; if using ground beef, then it is called "Cottage Pie". I have used ground deer (venison) and elk for this recipe also; marinating the deer in a little red wine overnight mellows out the gamey flavor. 1. Tinned mushrooms?? Shepherds pie does not contain mushrooms. Especially not tinned! I'm English and this isn't traditional at all

  2. Very nice flavor, I mixed 1lb each for ground lamb and ground sirlion, Used Garlic instant potatoes, and left out the green peas because no one in the house likes the peas. This recipe was dead on to what I remember Shepherds tasting like, thank you for posting such a yummy recipe
