Cheese Ball

"This is a very tasty cheese ball recipe that I got from my cousin. You can make it with lower in fat cheese. I usually use the lower in fat cheese and you can't tell a difference."

  1. Oh my! This is soo good! I followed recipe pretty close, used green onion finely chopped, garlic powder with just a pinch of salt, & I had some dutch smoked cheese I used a long with the sharp chs. Also, I prefer toasted almonds, so i used those. I love the spiciness! I think it's perfect! However, for those that dont like spicy I'd just 1/2 the cayanne. Thanks so much for a great recipe! I have a feeling my family will be asking me to bring this to ALL the future gatherings.

  2. Excellent cheese ball! I do not care for raw onions but they were perfect in this recipe. I cut the cayenne pepper to 1/4 tsp. because I was afraid 1/2 tsp. would make it too spicy. I should have left it alone though. You could hardly notice any zip at all so I'm sure the full amount would have been fine. This make a very large cheese ball. That comes in handy for a large gathering, but if you are making it for a small party, you might want to half the recipe or make two balls and save the second one. Thanks for posting!

  3. This was really good and so easy to make. I did cut the cayenne back to 1/4 teaspoon and the garlic salt back to 1 1/2 teaspoons. I will definately make this one again.

  4. Delicious. Made this for a party. Everyone loved it. Makes a very large ball. I will probably cut in half the next time.

  5. This was a very good, simple cheese ball. We made it exactly as the recipe says, however, we did feel that it was a little too salty. I'm going to use regular garlic powder instead of the garlic salt next time. Other than that, it was fabulous, a new favorite.

  2. This was really good. I liked the spiciness of it, and the onion flavor was great. I did use 2 garlic cloves instead of garlic salt. Will definately try again. Thanks!
