Reviews

  1. Thank you so much for this recipe! I am a 1st grade teacher, at home now, doing Distance Learning, and I just posted this recipe for something fun for the kids to do with their parents! I can't wait for them to get out of the oven! (The cookies, not the kids! Hahahaha!)

  2. The original true recipe is 3 1's, I know it sounds crazy, but it works! You will amaze your friends and co workers when you tell them there is NO flour in this recipe.... 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup peanut butter 1 egg Mix together, scoop into 1 T. balls, put 1" apart on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Criss cross with a fork, and bake in middle rack for 9 min at 375°. Let rest one minute then remove from pan and cool to store.

  3. I have made these for years, also. My recipe is 1 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter, 3/4 - 1 cup sugar (depends on your sweet tooth), 1 large egg (beaten). Additions, I like: 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips a pinch of salt. The reason these do not need flour is the egg. It is just like flourless chocolate cake.

  4. Wonderful! I use a sugar coated fork to flatten a bit and then push 3 or 4 chocolate chips onto the top. My co-workers love it when I bring these in. Thanks for the post!

  5. Delicious! I like that they're not too sweet. I used the sugar-sprinkle, fork-flattening method and they turned out great. Use natural peanut butter and an omega-3 enhanced egg to make it healthier. If you divide it into 16 cookies, then 2 cookies equals 1 serving of peanut butter. I'm not sure I'd ever make them for a pot luck or function because they're slightly crumbly, but they make a fantastic home dessert.

Tweaks

  1. This has always been MY FAVORITE pbutter cookie recipe! Absolutely needs a whole cup of sugar; my recipe is a cup, a cup, an egg (2 cups, 2 cups, 2 eggs, etc...) Because there is no flour, you MUST allow them to cool completely before removing from pan. CrissCross with fork or push Hershey Kiss in center of rounded cookie dough before baking. Dangerously delicious!!!!!

  2. I use 3/4 to 1 cup sugar or 1/2 brown, 1/2 white is good. 1 tsp vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips.

  3. I used 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar. I also melted dark chocolate and drizzled it over the cookies. They were amazing!
