  1. Wow! I too grew up in Rhode Island, and remember watching my grandmother use the morning's leftover coffee for my grandfather's favorite coffee jello lunchtime dessert! He would eat a big bowl with a splash of cream. Delicious!!

  2. I never would've thought to make jell-o with coffee but wow, not only does it look really cool, but it's a great dessert!

  3. Yup, nothing better than coffee jello with real whipped cream. Rhode Islanders have great but unusual tastes. Coffee milk, quahogs, corn fritters. Bring it on.

  4. OMG, this recipe should come with a warning that it's addictive. Worthy of 10 stars and incredibly simple to prepare. I really wasn't sure if I'd like it or not, but I LOVE IT!!! Simply amazing. I used decaf coffee since I was serving it in the evening, and also used half sugar and half stevia. I think it would be good using all stevia or some other sugar substitute. I can't imagine making this without the Kahlua, that was the perfect ingredient. I served the jello in martini glasses, and topped it with Cheeky Panda's Kahlua Whipped Cream (Recipe #427453) and sprinkled a few mini chocolate chips on top. An elegant looking dessert that wowed everyone. Simple Divine!

  5. I am not a big fan of jello but I love coffee so decided to try this one! I made one batch with very strong regular coffee and the second batch with homemade Kahlua. Both were incredible! I loved the Kahlua one quite a bit better though. (I wonder why!) With some sweetened whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel I was grinning over this fun dessert! Next time I will be trying a bit of chocolate sauce over it.
