  • Toast almonds with sugar and butter mixed together in 350 degree oven until lightly browned (watch closely) Tear lettuce leaves and toss with red onions, strawberries and chopped fried bacon.
  • When almonds are cool sprinkle on top of salad.
  • Whisk dressing together and pour over salad and toss all together.
  • Delightful salad.
  • Believe me you will receive many compliments on this one!

  1. Beautiful and delicious salad! I don't care for raw onions so left them out; I also forgot to get the almonds so had to sub pecans and I thought that worked well. The dressing for this is terrific and a great compliment to the sweet fruit and salty bacon. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
