Bacon Cheeseburger Potato Pie

"My husband and father-in-law love this! It's a bit time-consuming, but worth the spectacular results. Truly a handsome dish! From one of those Pillsbury mini-magazine things you buy at the supermarket. Please note that you can use leftover mashed potatoes as well, or make homemade if you really hate instant!"

 1. This was so delicious!!!!!!!!! Next time I will use homemade mashed potatoes, but won't change a single thing else.

 2. We really liked this recipe. I’ve made it a couple times. First time, I made as stated. I thought the meat crumbled to easy after slicing. So, the next time? I added an egg to the meat mixture. Makes for a better presentation. My pic is of the first time. Thanks!

 3. So delicious comfort food meal. A knockout.

 4. This was very good! Very similar to one that I put on here that I have made for years. I used pre made mashed potatoes and just added some garlic salt and cheese. Very good, fast dinner.

 5. My family absolutely LOVED this recipe!
I did add bacon into the hamburger, besides on top and used jalapeno ketchup for a bit more spice. Tastes just as good the next day!!

Tweaks

 1. Great recipe!!! Used 1lb of hamburger and .5lb bulk pork sausage and zesty seasoned salt in place of garlic salt. It was amazing! My DD happily ate 2 slices and was looking for more.

 2. Hi! We had this delicious pie last night for dinner. I followed the recipe exactly, except I used diced, canned tomatoes. I wish I would have had fresh. It turned out fantastic! Instead of garlic salt, I also had to use garlic powder. This will be made again, believe me! Thank you for a great recipe! :)

I live in TN with a husband, 9 year old, 6 year old, and our two dogs. I'm a busy mom who loves to cook for family and friends. We have two boys, and they are the light of my life! My husband is a restaurant manager. We actually met while working together at Bob Evans in another city. He was one cute grill cook!! Now he is one cute manager, and I am so proud of him! He currently works for El Chico, and he is very happy there.
I am a stay at home mom who sometimes does temp work, which is a big change from corporate America. We'll see how that goes. Now that I have some more time, I plan to get back to the kind of cooking I used to do. You know...with pots and pans instead of a take out menu. I love to crochet, garden and hike with the family. Thanks in advance for any reviews you do of my recipes. :)
