These Polish specialty dumplings are made from unleavened dough and half moon or crescent shaped. They can be stuffed with a variety of fillings such as: potato and cheddar cheese or cottage cheese, cabbage, onions, different meat fillings or fruit fillings such as cherry or blueberry. The dumplings are boiled until they float to the top, then they may be sautéed in butter and onions. Typically they are served with sour cream, and can be served as a main meal or as a side dish.
