Chili's 5-Meat 'Boss’ Burger Will Probably Defeat You
Oh how the mightiest will fall from such a tall task.

Hey you there with the big mouth. Talk is cheap, so see if you can’t take a bite out of this tower.
If you’re into monolithic mounds of meat, Chili’s announced on Monday that, after months of testing, it would be taking its giant five-meat burger—named “The Boss”—and spreading it to restaurant outposts across the nation.
“The Boss” burger is not so much a burger as it is a pile of American bar food on a bun. The laundry list of ingredients includes a half-pound burger patty, bacon, pulled rib meat, jalapeño sausage and brisket—yes, that’s five different kinds of meat—along with cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, ranch dressing and barbecue sauce.
The bravest of the brave can take a stab at the burger, which contains a whopping 1,650 calories.
“When we look back on what truly made Chili's famous, we always come back to the same thing—burgers, ribs and fajitas,” said Steve Provost, chief marketing advisor at Chili’s, in a statement. “But the bar for an exceptional burger keeps getting higher and higher. Well, at almost half a foot tall—and with bacon and rib meat and sausage and brisket stacked on top of our one half pound of burger meat—it's hard to get any higher than ‘The Boss.’”
In addition to “The Boss,” the casual dining chain is launching two other burgers. The “Chili’s Chili” is made using the restaurant’s original chili recipe from 1975. And “Alex’s Santa Fe” is made with a spicy Santa Fe sauce, along with avocado, tomato, onion and pickles.
For those interested in “The Boss,” Chili’s recommends that you either bring your family and friends to help, or prepare for a challenge.
