Doritos is Giving Away ‘Jurassic’ Chips in Dinosaur Eggs
You could buy or win one. Here’s how.

Funky dinosaur-related science sometimes ends in people getting eaten by giant scaly creatures. Then again, funky dinosaur-related science also ends with people doing the eating.
The orange dust purveyors at Doritos have created a monster—a crunchy chip of dinosauric proportions—and is shipping a limited number of them, just in time for the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
The “Jurassic Dorito” is about 18 times the size of a regular dorito chip and comes inside of a giant dinosaur egg that can be cracked open to reveal the edible treat inside. The egg is shipped inside of a metal transport container meant to keep your giant chip safe. The whole package weighs just under 25 pounds.
The chip can be had for free by tweeting at the Doritos account with the hashtags #JurassicDoritos and #entry.
If you’re the kind of person who appreciates a sure thing, you can bid for one of them at an eBay auction that will run until June 20th. All proceeds from the auction will go to support the American Red Cross and its ongoing aid efforts in Hawaii after the eruption of the Kilauea volcano. Hawaii served as a shooting location for Spielberg’s original sci-fi classic.
At the time of publication, bidding had reached $685.99.
So if you’re an avid fan of Jurassic Park or just really want to eat a 12-inch Dorito chip, consider yourself alerted. Now all you’ll have to do is find somewhere to store your dinosaur egg.
