As though if by magic, some of it will land back in his pockets.

While you were off modestly enjoying your Sunday evening—perhaps watching the Winter Olympics or playing a solid game of Scrabble—Jay-Z was out on the town spending more money than the average American and their brother earn in a year.

The rapper-businessman-husband of Beyoncé was seen around New York City on Sunday night as he celebrated the birthday of his friend Juan “OG” Perez. Over the course of an evening, Jay and company would end up spending over $110,000 on food and drink.

With Perez—president of Roc Nation Sports, the athletic arm of Jay-Z’s management company Roc Nation—and a group friends and associates, Jay-Z started with a surf-n-turf dinner of steak, lobster and sushi, according to People. All in all, Page Six reports that the dinner cost $13,000.

From there, the crew climbed all the way to the northernmost edges of the island, where they ordered $9,000-worth of drinks at Made in Mexico in Inwood. Drinks included D'Ussé cognac, which is partially owned by Jay-Z.

Finally, they ended up at Playroom—a nightclub also in Inwood—where Jay-Z started buying rounds of champagne for the whole club. Perhaps thankfully for him, the champagne was “Ace of Spades” from Armand de Brignac—a company that he owns—so some of the money was likely flowing right back into his pocket.

A photo of their receipt was shared by a stunned member of the club’s staff on Snapchat, which showed an order of 20 bottles of Ace of Spades Gold for $24,000 and an order of 20 bottles of Ace of Spades Rosé for $50,000. With over $6,000 in taxes and an $11,100 tip thrown into the mix, their clubbing total came to $91,135.

A calm cool and relaxed $113,135 isn’t bad for a Sunday night, considering the median annual income for Americans was around $59,000 in 2017.

And we thought those $15 cocktails were breaking the bank!
