Jennifer Lawrence Wants to Take You Wine Tasting

Do it for charity… or just for the wine.

August 17, 2017 — We love Jennifer Lawrence because she strikes us as more down-to-earth than most celebrities. With just the right amount of unfiltered behavior, public mistakes and self-deprecation, she seems human—like someone we could have a glass of wine with. Well, it’s our lucky day: Lawrence is partnering with Represent.Us to to give you (and a friend) the chance to hang out with her for a day… at a California vineyard.

The sweepstakes, which is hosted by Omaze, is offering airfare and hotel accommodations for two to meet Lawrence in California wine country for a day of picnicking, games, and of course, wine tastings. It’s open to all, even to those who have not attained the wonderfully arbitrary age of 21 (hang in there)—though alternate beverages will be provided for our younger friends. To promote the contest, Lawrence recorded a short video, in which she attempts to distinguish wine tasting profiles from reviews of her body (and her films). She explains, “We’ll hang out, drink some wine, talk politics, drink wine, maybe we’ll call your ex, maybe we’ll call my ex. Who knows? The point is, we’ll have fun.” You can contest this, but we’d say that having Lawrence call your ex might just be the best form of vengeance.

If you support the mission of Represent.Us, which is to get big money and corruption out of politics, or if you just want to spend a day with a pretty chill actress, you might want to consider making a donation. You have until September 26th.
