Does a whole lot of free McDonald’s sound like something you’d be interested in? If so, all you need is a smartphone and the will to win.

McDonald’s announced on Thursday that it will make one fast food lover’s existence by presenting them with a very special mobile “McGold Card,” which is worth what the company is calling “free McDonald’s for life.”

The McGold Card, like Bigfoot is a strange and mysterious beast. Unlike Bigfoot, it is rumored to have been presented to the king of Sweden. Bigfoot, obviously, cannot be presented to anyone. He’s a boss like that.

One lucky winner will win “food for life,” which means $1,000 loaded into your McDonald’s app, plus $35,400 in cold, hard cash (it’s actually a check, thank you very much). McDonald’s says that this will be enough to eat two seven-dollar meals per week for the next 50 years, which is correct if you do the math. Good going, Golden Arches! The winner even gets a custom gold-plated phone case for bragging rights.

They’ll also receive $15,600 for taxes, because they’re about to owe Uncle Sam some serious currency (didn’t anybody ever tell you that nothing in life is free?).

In order to win the prize, all you have to do is place a mobile order using the McDonald’s smartphone app. Yet, as with any contest, you can also just sent McDonald’s an email at entry@amoeentry.com, with the date in the subject line and your first and last name in the email body. #beatingthesystem

So if you weren’t terrified of Morgan Spurlock’s Fast Food Nation like the rest of us and want to eat McDonald’s twice a week for the next 50 years, place a mobile order today, and then do it again every day until August 24th to increase your chances.
