This New 3D Pancake Printer Will Change the Way You Do Sundays

Want to wow your friends and family with your crazy pancake art skills, but don’t have the time…or talent? This nifty new device is about to become your breakfast BFF.

A 3D printer called the “PancakeBot” can turn any image into customized pancakes, and all you have to provide is a flip of the spatula. Currently being sold on Kickstarter for $179, the device is constructed of a printer that squirts pancake batter in distinct patterns onto a low-heat griddle. Users can upload any image to the machine, and it in turn follows a digital pattern to make your customized pancake dreams a reality.

The machine is currently being produced and tested, with a July 2015 launch date, and will eventually retail in stores for $300. But the project has already been wildly successful on Kickstarter, raising over $300,000 of the original $50,000 goal, with almost two weeks still left to snag the device at a lower price. Now that’s a lot of pancakes.

If you’re craving pancakes now (we sure are!) try out our top pancake recipes, no 3D technology required.
