Yup, that’s not an exaggeration. Taco Bell is feeling generous this afternoon.

It’s June 13th, and you know what that means. Oh, you don’t know what that means? Well, friends, out of the goodness of its “heart,” Taco Bell has made June 13th a day a free tacos for all Americans.
Thanks to its special “Steal a Game, Steal a Taco” promotion, Taco Bell on Wednesday (today) will be granting each man, woman and child a free Doritos Locos taco, while Doritos Locos supplies last.
The promotion was tied to the NBA Finals series, in which the Golden State Warriors played the Cleveland Cavaliers. Taco Bell, which has launched a similar promotion during the baseball’s World Series for stolen bases, promised to give a free taco to Americans for each game won by a visiting team. Luckily for Americans (and unluckily for LeBron fans), the Warriors swept the series four games to none, winning Game 3 away in Cleveland and thereby winning everybody free tacos.
To “steal” your taco from America’s favorite Mexican restaurant (yup.), all you need to do is waltz into your nearest Taco Bell between the hours of 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. and ask for it.
Seeing as things in life are rarely free, it’s likely that many people will be trying to get in on the action. So if you desperately want your free Doritos Locos taco (retail value $1.69), get there early and get in line, so you can claim yours before they’re gone.
