Yoplait Teams Up with the Girl Scouts to Make Cookie-Flavored Yogurt

Cookies for breakfast?!

Everyone knows that the most wonderful time of the year isn’t really the holidays—it’s just afterwards, when girls across the US strap on their entrepreneur boots and hit the streets selling Girl Scout Cookies. Lucky us, because the best time of the year is about to be all year.

Yoplait announced on Tuesday that it would soon be releasing its hottest new product—Girl Scout Cookie-inspired yogurt—beginning this month. And this isn’t some gimmicky, limited edition product either; once they arrive, the yogurts are here to stay.

Cookie fans will be able to choose from three of the most iconic flavors: Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs, and try them out in liquid form. Both the chocolatey Thin Mints yogurt and the chocolate and peanut butter-flavored Tagalongs yogurt will be lighter four-ounce “Whips,” while the Samoas-flavored yogurt will come in a creamy six-ounce container.

"Beyond the delicious flavor, the yogurts will also remind consumers everywhere of the power of Girl Scout Cookies,” said Girl Scouts Chief Revenue Officer Barry Horowitz. “The cookie program is the largest entrepreneurial training program for girls in the world, and we are pleased Yoplait is working with us to share the message about the program and the impact of Girl Scouts with even more families in America."

What we’ll really need before coming to a final conclusion on these goodies is a solid Girl Scout product review—like the one that went viral back in January. In a pitch to a potential “rich friend” of her father, a Girl Scout named Charlotte systematically (and brutally) ranked each type of Girl Scout cookie. Tell us what it’s all about, Girl Scout!
