How to Cook Perfect Rice: Our Easy Guide
Become the master of this versatile side dish.
This is a very easy, never fail recipe. You won’t ever have to worry about burning a pan again when you cook your rice this way.
1 Gather Ingredients
Get started by gathering all of your ingredients. You'll need 1 cup of uncooked rice, 4 quarts of water, 2 teaspoons of salt and whatever you choose as a sauce or garnish.
2 Boil Water
In a large pot, bring all 4 quarts of water to a roaring boil.
3 Add Salt & Rice
Add rice and salt to the water, stirring occasionally. Leave until the rice is al dente (chewy and firm but not hard), and then remove from the heat.
4 Drain
When your rice is the perfect texture, pour it into a strainer and drain out the water. If you're worried about it overcooking, you can rinse the rice, while it's in the strainer, with water.
5 Season & Enjoy
Season your rice with butter, fresh herbs or whatever you're craving and enjoy!
