Giant Sprinkle Sign
Spell it out with sprinkles!
Everything looks better with sprinkles, don't you agree? Here's what you need to recreate this festive party sign.
Material for sprinkle covered word
Prep time: 1 1/2 hours
Total time: 24 hours
• 1 20” x 30” foam board
• Utility knife
• ‘Hooray!’ template
• Printer and paper
• Pencil
• Scissors
• 1-2 lbs rainbow sprinkles
• Glue
• Hot glue and gun
• Double-sided foam tape
1 PRINT OUT THE WORD
Print out the provided ‘Hooray!’ template, cut around the letters and tape them together to form the word.
2 TRACE THE WORD
Trace the template onto a foam board, separating the word where you run out of space. Or freehand your own word or design.
3 CUT IT OUT
Cut the word out with a utility knife; using lighter strokes until you break through the board works best.
If your word had to be separated to fit on the board like ours, join it together where necessary with a hot glue gun.
4 ADD THE GLUE
Paint adhesive on with a brush very liberally.
5 COVER IT WITH SPRINKLES
Cover the glue in sprinkles. Let the glue dry for at least 6 hours.
6 LET IT DRY & TOUCH UP
Lift up your word and let the sprinkles fall off where they didn’t attach. Touch up if necessary with more adhesive and sprinkles.
After letting this layer dry, it may be necessary to do more small touch-ups using a hot glue gun.
7 ADD TAPE
Place double-sided foam tape on the back of the word.
8 HANG IT ON THE WALL
Attach your word to the wall using double-sided foam tape, then step back and enjoy the scenery!
