5 Spice Sugar

"Found this in Sunset magazine around Christmas Time. I put it in the sugar shaker and use it on everything. You can substitute Splenda."

  1. Thanks for posting this. I remember this recipe and used it as an annual gift for teachers and friends. It's good on cookies, in hot cider, and sprinkles on muffins.

  2. I wasn't sure I would like this with the coriander in it, but I've been eating it on my oatmeal for the past two days and I love it. Thank you for posting something different! I would like to update this review - I no longer use cinnamon sugar at all. I've made cinnamon rolls with this sugar and they are fantastic. Thank you again!

  3. ABSOLUTELY! DELICIOUS IT IS! Guess I've been missing something in my kitchen 'cause I had no idea what Chai is/was before this! A great, versatile addition to any table! Another time I just might take other reviewers' hints & add a little ground clove, just to see how that changes this sugar! Thanks for sharing! 4. Delicious! I love the flavors of Chai so I knew that this was going to be a winner. What a winner it was...I loved it. I did add 1/2 tsp. ground cloves (so I guess this was really 6 spice sugar), because cloves compliment the other spices so well. I added some of this spiced sugar, a little cream, and a touch of honey to a cup of tea. Yummy!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe. It is definitely a keeper!!

  5. I made a cup of Darjeeling tea, added a whole clove and some of this 5-spice sugar, stirred it up. Oh, yum! It's the flavors of chai!! Am trying it next mixed into homemade applesauce. This is a keeper!
