directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cream together butter, both sugars and vanilla. (When you add vanilla to any recipe, add it to the fat, this being the butter/oil, and the flavor will be more noticeable.).
  • Beat in eggs one at a time.
  • Dissovle baking soda in hot water. Add to batter.
  • Add salt.
  • Slowly add flour.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet, about 1 inch apart.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes or until edges are just brown.
  • Take out of oven and leave them sit on the pan for about 2 minutes as they will continue to bake a bit outside of the oven.

  1. Really, really good! I made them for my family and they loved them! ( I made the mistake of using the wrong pan so they were a little burnt on the bottom but that was totally my fault.) Amazing.

  2. Really good I made them the other day and by the end of the day there were 3 left. Now i’m going to make them again

  3. Best cookie that I have ever tasted it was an easy thing to make and you don’t have to use a lot of ingredients. My family loves them they ate them all in one day. If I like it then you will like it too.??

  4. This is the best chocolate chip cookie recipe ever. Period. I've made them many times for my vegan uncle by subbing butter for vegan butter and the eggs for 1/2 cup applesauce and 1/2 tsp baking powder. I also sub all the sugar for granulated. They're crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside and best fresh out of the oven.

  5. My new favorite chocolate chip cookies! So gooey and soft in the middle. Mmmm
