A Really Good Sweet Potato Recipe

ingredients
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 6 cups sweet potatoes, mashed
- 2⁄3 cup sugar
- 2⁄3 cup butter, melted
- 1⁄3 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1⁄2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄2 teaspoon allspice

Topping
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1⁄3 cup flour
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1⁄3 cup butter, softened
directions
- Beat eggs, stir in potatoes until blended. Add remaining ingredients and put in buttered dish (9 x 13).

- Mix brown sugar, flour and nuts together. Work butter iinto mixture with hands until well blended. Sprinkle on top of potatoes and bake at 350 for 1 hour.

This is very similar to the sweet potato dish at Ruth Criss Steakhouse, which is actually why I looked it up since it was so good. I found it easy to prepare. My husband requested this dish for Thanksgiving this year!

I love to cook and bake. Unfortunately, I have a picky husband who is pretty much a meat and potatoes kind of guy. However, my family, friends and relatives always asked me to make their favorite dishes of mine or bring something new that catches my eye.
I have an extensive collection of cookbooks and love those which have pictures. I especially love those that are assembled by groups or organizations, since normally they represent the best of the best from that particular person. Why would anyone list something that wasn't their favorite?
