Aggression Cookies

"This recipe is lots of fun to make with kids - they love kneading all the ingredients together and getting their hands all mucky and gucky! The title comes from squishing and mashing the dough and using up all that childhood agression and energy."

  1. For the fun factor, this was really good. The kids enjoyed pounding and squishing it, though they did eventually decide that their hands were "too messy!" (They are 5 & almost 3.) This tastes like a shortbread cookie and does not hold together very well. You really have to smush them to get them to keep any shape and not crumble before they are on the cookie sheet. They also took quite a bit longer to cook then indicated. For the second half I added some chocolate chips (just what I had left over in a bag) and we enjoyed that addition. Thanks for fun family time! (And the dog sure enjoyed cleaning up the floor!)

Let's see...mom, medical transcriptionist, busy busy busy. I used to really enjoy cooking but due to finding out I have MANY food allergies the joy has kind of gone out of the whole process. I still cook dinner of course, often something for the family and then something seperate that I can eat. Don't do much baking anymore, though I do love to bake. One of these days I hope to get back into the swing of things and start spending time in the kitchen again!
