- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 cups milk
- 6 ounces grated parmesan cheese
- 1⁄8 teaspoon ground black pepper
directions
- Combine all ingredients in a medium sized pot and cook over medium heat. Stir constantly and make sure it doesn't burn. Will take a while for the cream cheese to blend nicely. I normally melt the cream cheese with the butter first and then add the milk and the remaining ingredients. Wonderful over fettucine noodles.

Really bland at the end, even though it had good, if subtle, flavor. I added about 2 times the amount of garlic, and added a random amount of salt, and it was great! Easy quick sauce. Great for nights when you're strapped for time. A very good base recipe that could really be spiced up. Thanks!
