"I like to use home made remedies where possible. They are safe for the environment and a less expensive. This one works a treat. I could not list soapy water....lol............. although you do need it for this recipe. This recipe should not be ingested and KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. I found this recipe from the A.B.C."

  • Chop four large onions, two cloves of garlic, and four hot chillies. Mix them together and cover with warm, soapy water and leave it to stand overnight. Strain off that liquid and then add it to five litres of water to create an all-round insecticide.
  • Pour mix into a spray bottle to use -- dont store in a drink bottle if children are around!

  1. I like the fact this uses stuff you already have in your pantry. I didn't have hot chili peppers so I used jalapeno peppers that I had in the freezer already diced up. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to try it yet since it's been raining here quite often whenever I want to spray it on. I will report back whenever I do get to spray it on. I put the concoction in clean mayonnaise jars that I saved so it will be there when I'm ready. I will add the stars whenever I've used the stuff.<br/>UPDATE: It finally dried up enough for me to try this on my hibiscus and pagoda plants that had white flies on them. It got rid of them and they haven't been back. Will use this often!!
