All Season Peanut & Corn Suet Bird Treats

"Recipe #2 of handwritten notes from somewhere...sorry I cannot remember where I found this recipe. This is an "all-season" suet treat for birds but I still find that I use it more in the late fall - early spring seasons but maybe that is because I do not feed my bird friends suet in the summer and instead use a variety of unsalted nuts."

  1. This was easy to make, and the squirrels seem to love it... Haven't seen a bird eating it so far, but it's only been out for a little while. Set up fine after being in the freezer. I didn't originally let it set long enough, so the first slice fell halfway thru the suet feeder. The others are doing just fine. It's just started raining (pouring) here, so we'll see how it holds up to weather, but I'm sure the birds will love it if they can get any before the squirrels stuff themselves! Thanks for sharing an economical recipe.
