- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 lb real butter
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon Karo syrup (white)
- 1⁄2 lb blanched almond, chopped fine
- 6 ounces chocolate chips
directions
- Put first four ingredients in a pan and cook to hard crack stage (290), stirring constantly.
- Pour into buttered pie tin or 10 inch cake (round or square).
- Cool, turn out and break into pieces.
- Coat with melted chocolate chips and roll in nuts.
