  1. Mmmmm, great tasting soup :D. had to use white macaroni, white kidney beans and totally forgot the green beans. Even so it was yummy. I might use less pasta or more liquid today (I made it yesterday) today the macaroni had sucked up all of soup. I can't tell you how much I love the fact that this is so good with so little fat.

  2. This is a quick and very tasty soup. I did follow a couple of other reviewers suggestions (purely for ease and quickness, but they work well). I used the stewed tomatoes with celery and I used frozen carrots and peas. The fresh beans were so good in this soup. I didn't have whole wheat macaroni so used regular white and it worked fine. I did find that I had to use a little bit more chicken broth as it is very thick. This soup lover will be making this often. Thanks for sharing your recipe. This was made for ZWT4.

  3. Wow, this is such an easy soup and so flavourful. I skipped the celery and used canned stewed tomatoes. I used frozen peas and carrots too. Even my picky 15 year old ate this. I ending up making this twice in the same day as it was so popular. Thanks for the recipe.

  4. Delicious, quick, and very hearty and filling, plus being low fat/low cal -- only 4 points if following the WW flex plan -- what more can you want? The only change I made was using Old Bay seasoning (rather than the one called for). I also used tomatoes w/ chilies (10 oz can) plus one can water. This can also be considered an emergency meal as I have everything on hand almost all the time and I think that frozen green beans can be subbed for the fresh very easily. Thanks for sharing this keeper which we will be having often!

  5. Yummy, quick and healthy to boot! I loved how easily it all went together and then simmered while I could make some sandwiches. I did add some chopped onions and a clove of garlic to this filling, colorful soup. Thanks Dreamer! Made, reviewed and photo-ed for AU/NZ recipe swap.

Tweaks

  1. This soup is nice & easy to prepare, & I was able to include all the ingredients as given, right down to the whole wheat macaroni (something I don't usually have on hand)! Well, almost ~ I substituted vegetable broth for the chicken broth, 'cause 2 vegans were at the table! Still, a great tasting soup! Thanks for sharing! 2. I have a bad cold and was craving soup, this one did the trick! Doubled the recipe so I would have enough for a few days and had great northern beans instead of kidney beans. The beans were good but I think the kidney beans would definitely work better with this soup. DH could not find whole wheat macaroni noodles so used whole wheat rotini. Will make this soup again!
