Amanda Milk Chocolate Frosting

"This is really easy to make for all of you who buy your own. And lots of people already have the ingredients in their cabinets. Also, because you are the one making it you can add more of less chocolate depending on your personal tastes."

  1. Sorry to say I was somewhat disappointed with this frosting. I have never cooked frosting before but I had to transfer to a bowl and mix it with electric mixer then had to add more icing sugar. Too runny....I did double the recipe so may have gone wrong there. Unfortunately, not what I was looking for and had to salvage it .... don't like wasting stuff.

  2. This was a very quick and easy recipe to prepare, but the end result was disappointing. After it cooled I was left with a dull, grainy frosting. I also doubled the recipe and it still didn't fully frost my 9" two layer cake. I've never "cooked" frosting before, so perhaps I erred in some way. Sorry, but for me this recipe just didn't work.

  3. Very easy to put together and completely delicious. I sifted the confectioners sugar before adding it to the butter and cocoa mixture. I used it to frost Recipe #4597.

  4. great frosting, easy to control the consistency and yummy. i like this one better than the others that are similar in ingredients b/c it blooms the cocoa wich gives it a better flavor. thanks for a keeper.

  5. This taste fab and is SUPER easy! I am an extreme couponer and find myself needing to clean cake mixes from the pantry. I had a randome coconut supreme mix I wasn't sure what to do. I whipped this up using coconut oil like someone said but kept 1 T of butter just for flavor. I then used almond extract. It made a boring ole cake mix into a wonderful dessert. I think may toast some coconut and almonds next time to top it off!
