  • Cream margarine, Crisco and sugar together.
  • Add egg and vanilla, then gradually add all dry ingredients.
  • Beat till thoroughly mixed.
  • Dough should be firm, but have a creamy texture.
  • Chill for 30 minutes in refridgerator.
  • Roll into little balls, or use a small cookie scooper.
  • Roll individual dough balls in sugar.
  • Bake at 350° until pale golden for 8-12 minutes. Do not over bake.

I live about an hour west from St. Louis out in the country. I love it here it's so peaceful and serene. I tend to spend most of my free time reading, watching movies or tv. I like to watch Food Network shows too, mostly Pioneer Woman, Trisha Yearwood, Ina Garten, and many others. I love cooking for family and friends. I'm always asked to bring a dish to a potluck or dinner. My specialty is baking and making desserts. Recently, I've been looking for recipes for homemade remedies and soaps, and also homemade gifts in a jar to give as presents. I've never tried doing anything like that and I think it would be fun and interesting to do.?
