  • Saute onions lightly in butter.
  • Add potatoes and water and cook until tender.
  • Add corn, milk, salt and pepper.
  • Heat, but do not boil.
  • Top with crumbled bacon and sour cream, if desired.
  • This recipe may be doubled for seconds or for freezing.

  2. This was a good basic corn chowder. I only used a cup of milk and I thought it needed more corn. I didn't use the two cups of milk as I knew it would be way too thin for me. I also thought it could have used more seasoning.
