Ann's Potato Soup

ingredients
- 44.37 ml butter or 44.37 ml margarine
- 2 celery ribs, sliced
- 2 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 29.58 ml fresh garlic
- 2 (822.13 g) can chicken broth
- 7 medium potatoes, sliced or cube
- 340.19 g evaporated milk
- 118.29 ml Cheez Whiz
directions
- In skillet melt butter, saute celery, carrots, and onion. Season with pepper if desired.
- Add to a big stock pot add broth,fresh garlic and potatoes cook till almost tender. Turn down stove.
- Add Can of evaporated milk and cheez wiz till smooth and creamy (warm but not boiling). simmer.
- I will guess serves 6-8 we usually eat with french bread or salad and the leftovers are gone in a couple days.

<p>My love of cooking started when I was in grade school. My earliest memory was making a wonderful birthday cake from Scratch with my Grandmother in a big bright red bowl. I remember we had a lot of fun making it and eating the cake. <br /><br />I have a wonderful husband and 2 daughters 16yrs and 4yrs old. I have a Social Work degree and worked with mentally ill adults for several years. I really enjoyed my work in a group home. I currently am staying home with my youngest and am not sure what I will do when she goes to school. I might get back into the Social Work field. <br /><br />I am sharing recipes that I want to keep safe from my own family favorites as well as recipes that I would like to try and haven't made yet. <br /><br />Recipezaar is a wonderful place and I love all the recipes everyone shares.
