“I found this recipe for a healthier Anzac Day biscuit on the New Zealand Heart Foundation website. It comes from a program they have done aimed at schools. I was also drawn to it because of the lack of coconut which I was finding in a lot of Anzac Day biscuit recipe. Since I am not a fan of coconut these sound perfect for me. The recipe didn't give a yield. So, I am guessing on that.”

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Melt the margarine and golden syrup.
  3. Mix all the ingredients together.
  4. Roll spoonfuls of the mixture into balls and place on a lightly greased oven tray.
  5. Flatten.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
