Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Spray a medium baking dish with oil. Transfer beans and about half of their liquid to a medium bowl. Add apples and bacon.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine vinegar, sugar, tomato paste, bacon fat and liquid smoke. Stir into beans.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to baking dish.
  5. Cover and cook 60-90 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
