  1. Wow, this was great. I used red delicious apples as that is what we had in the fridge. It turned out wonderful!!!! Thank you so much for sharing the recipe. Made for PRMR!!!

  2. "Whoop-whoop"!!! (That pretty much sums it up)... I made these ribs for dinner tonight, and after reading the recipe a bit closer, I was somewhat nervous that they would come out too sweet with the apple jelly and the brown sugar. After devouring these, I realized that I had nothing to fear. Delicious! The apple cider vinegar, bourbon (I used "Wild Turkey") and granny smith apples helped to balance this out. My bbq sauce was KC Masterpiece Original. I only used 3 1/2 lbs of country style ribs (that is what I had), but kept the sauce ingredients the same. It was plenty for hubby and I. I am so glad I made these. I made a side dish of Recipe #503887 (as a test run for Thanksgiving), along with a couple other sides, and it truly made it a southern country comfort meal. I will definitely make these again. Super easy, and very little hands-on time needed. Perfect for a busy day (I did the "low-slow" method, although today I did not work and just slacked off with my free afternoon). Thank you for posting. (Made for PRMR)

  3. I didn't think these were too sweet at all. I'm not sure why, but my ribs turned out a bit dry and didn't absorb as much flavor as I'd hoped. The apples were fabulous though!! Thanks for sharing!
